Brammo Enertia

Brammo EnertiaAs a breed, electric motorcycles are still in the gawky adolescent phase. But the Brammo Enertia is one of the prettier ones: it reminds us a little of the Aprilia Moto 6.5 designed by Phillipe Starck. At 285lbs it’s light for a road bike, about the same as BMW’s ice-cool G450X enduro. It hits 30mph in 3.8 seconds, the range is around 45 miles between charges, and it even meets the approval of Wired magazine. Interested? The Enertia goes on sale soon for US$14,995.

It’s been a long time waiting for the first electric motorcycle that I know of. I did not want to buy another emission motorcycle and was waiting for an electric battery motorcycle, and here it is. Imagine how quite it may be? When you first start a fuel motorcycle, you smell the fumes. And I think people should start to get used to using battery powered motor cycles. It’s still a motorbike. To accommodate this, have a house with transformers to charge up battery using solar and wind power.
