@ sable … you might have a point if the bike was intended for long distance touring in the alps. it’s not. three separate u.s. manufacturers make this simplified rear brake set-up with no ill effects. it runs an o-ring chain lightly lubricated with clear chain wax and since i (among many others) rarely use the rear brake at all other than to settle the chassis, i figured in this case form outweighed function.

everybody else, thanks for the comments and compliments. most fun has been sharing it with guys who “get it.”

That rear brake is stupid. Combination sprocket and brake disc? Unless he’s using a chain with no lube on it whatsoever, which is still stupid..

Have you even SEEN that show? The only time they got close to this level of coolness was the Triumph they gave to Mikey. The rest of their stuff is from an alien planet comparatively.
