Thanks for all the great comments about my bike guys! It makes me feel like it was a success, your comments are exactly what I was trying for... It was by far the most ambitious rebuild I've attempted, and all done in a friends garage, I'm building my own this spring. I am very pleased with the results the bike handles beautifully and is comfortable to ride long distances. Although I only got to ride it to Bonneville and back last season it performed flawlessly through the mountains in Montana, and Idaho... until I stripped the exhaust thread on the rear cylinder. I'm in the process of putting a replacement rear head on it right now ready for this year, and plan on riding it lots. It's been my daily commuter ride for the past 11 years, weather here in Canada permitting... Anyway, thanks again for all the kind remarks.

This is possibly the best mix of old and new parts used in a restoration I have seen. Brings a lump to my throat. Loved these bikes but the ignition let them down and Lucas Rita ignitions were the only way to keep them running. But the updates on this bike give it modern reliability and handling but keep it looking close to the original bike.... This is the classic Ducati the factory should have built better than the fully modern versions.
