Honda Gold Wing Bobber

Honda Gold Wing bobber
You might think that the average Honda Gold Wing is a ponderous tourer designed for cruising from one end of the USA to the other, but some bike builders have other ideas. One of the best ‘naked’ Gold Wings we’ve seen is this bobber created by Lars in Denmark.

This is a great build. Lars really has a great eye and skill. This inspires me to try my hand a a goldwing. I love this bike.

I’ve just bought a Gold Wing GL1000 from 1976. It’s been super easy to work on so far, and I’m in the process of bobbing mine out, and this motorcycle here, is the example that I’m going with. I’m trying to do what I can to make my bike look like this one. However, I’ve got some questions about the smaller 16″ spoked rims. In order to do that you’d need different length spokes for the front and a different length spoke for the rear. Where do you get these, and what lengths do you need for each?

Hey, i jst got a 1981 goldwing and want tocustomize it too, where can i find muffler pipes like these that Lars put on his bobber bull dog? Are they slip ons and using the origanl header pipe that was cut off?

Looks like Naked Goldwings has changed its website to http://www.ngwclub.com/forum/. Unfortunately I can’t find the new link. Not good for their traffic!
