I am amazed that what one might consider as knowledgeable enthusiasts would give this exercise in market BS the time of day. The brief for the suspension was to look like it had a rigid rear wheel but have a suspension. What nonsense! Maybe they might want to use the old Norton “garden gate” rear suspension.

The only Mac I’d consider riding would be a Velocette. With fierce neo classic competition from Ducati, Guzzi, Triumph and soon Norton, who usually have the grunt from an engine twice the size of this one, I’m not even sure if they Mac can gain their space.

These are beautiful machines. Price point is out there considering the low tech engine. I’m not a fan of the wheezy, gear-missing Buell Blast engine. It seems the engine was chosen on aesthetics and not technology.

Besides that intended engine and price, a 14 year old KTM Duke would still kick it’s ass, let alone the 09 verison.
