Ros from Godspeed 45/06 dropped us a line with some killer pics, and this one stood out immediately. The bike is called ‘Desert Rose’ and it was built by Kutty Noteboom of Hippy Killer Garage on the US west coast. (If the name sounds familiar, it’s probably because Kutty was in the Choppertown movie.) Kutty built this Triumph for his wife Jamie, and it’s a beauty. He put a ’71 motor in a ’68 frame—modified and stretched slightly—but left the engine internals untouched. To keep things running sweetly, Kutty added a Boyer electronic ignition, Amal carburetion and a custom aluminum velocity stack. The full spec is available online, and if you like this kind of thing, it’s also worth investigating Godspeed 45/06. It’s a 160pp 8 x 10” hardback collection of photographs documenting bike builders, their work, and their workspaces. Document #2 in the quarterly Godspeed series will be launched tomorrow night (Friday 11 December) at NYC Motorcycle Federation; if you’re not in New York, you can snap up a copy right now for $75 here.

Nice bike overall, but — please, please! — someone needs to make the hammered-in tank fad go away!
I think the tank looks great.
That bike is beautiful. it looks like a crazy dirt tracker or something. I love the tires also, i think those would look cool on my Triumph scrambler.
Oh, there IS a bike in that picture. I see it now.
Ok, what is the first thing you look at on a MOTORcycle? If you must include a person, have them get behind the bike.
I was kind of loving the person! Seen many a Triumph before, but that girl, never seen her before – more please!
