Q) When will my classified be online?
A) All ads are manually approved before appearing online. This process usually takes a few hours for submissions made via our online form. Ads submitted from late Friday to Sunday, however, may not be processed until Monday morning, at which point they will be approved and posted.
Q) What should I price my motorcycle for?
A) One of the most common reasons motorcycles don’t sell is incorrect pricing. Overpricing—even unintentionally—can cause your listing to sit with little interest. To set a realistic and competitive price, use resources like KBB.com and similar tools to gauge your motorcycle’s market value. Be sure to factor in local demand, availability, condition, mileage, and any upgrades. However, keep in mind that not all modifications add dollar-for-dollar value. For example, putting a $3,000 paint job on a $2,000 bike doesn’t necessarily make it worth $5,000. Pricing with awareness and flexibility can make all the difference in getting your motorcycle sold.
Q) Can you bill me for my classified ad?
A) No, all classified ads must be paid in advance with credit card (MasterCard, VISA, Discover, or American Express).
Q) What do I do if my bike sells?
A) Reach out to us through the Contact Form to notify us and we’ll remove your listing.
Q) What do I do if my bike didn't sell and I want to renew?
A) At the end of your ad duration, you will receive a renewal email that will have a link to follow to get your ad renewed.
Q) Can I make updates to my listing?
A) Yes, absolutely! We understand that sometimes you need to update your pricing, adjust a spec, or make an alteration to your listing. Message us through our Contact Form and we will be more than happy to make that update for you.
Q) What if I have multiple motorcycles to sell?
A) Simply repeat the process with all the motorcycles you have!
Q) How does a buyer contact me?
A) There will be a link on your classified listing page that directs users to a built-in contact form where buyers can message you with any questions they might have.
Q) What if a potential buyer does not live in my area.
A) If the buyer is not located nearby, it’s possible to complete the sale using a reputable motorcycle transportation company. The logistics and cost of shipping can be negotiated between the buyer and seller, depending on distance and carrier preference. It’s recommended to choose a licensed, insured transporter with experience handling motorcycles to ensure safe delivery. Always confirm full payment before releasing the bike for transport.
Q) Are there any protections as a seller?
A) Bike EXIF does not endorse any buyer or seller in our classified section. For your safety and peace of mind, always arrange to meet in a public, well-lit location—preferably during the day and with surveillance (like a gas station or police station lot). Never agree to ship the motorcycle before receiving full, verified payment. If you're dealing with a long-distance buyer, consider using a reputable escrow service to protect both parties. Trust your instincts, and don’t hesitate to walk away from any transaction that feels suspicious.
Q) What if my question isn't answered here?
