When Laurent Tomas of the Coyote Racing Team bought this Norton five years ago, it was in a sorry state of repair. Laurent has now completed a beautiful restoration, and runs the bike at classic race meets—such as the amazing Ton Up at Magny-Cours. Under the slimline aluminum ‘Lyta’ short circuit tank is a modified 600cc motor, fitted with a balanced crankshaft and a 2S cam. The valves and oil pump are from a 750 Commando; the cylinder head is stolen from a 650 SS. Fuelling comes from Dellorto 32 carbs, aided by electronic ignition. Classic café racer style, but in this case, it’s the real deal. [Image by Benoit Guerry.]
