1994 BMW K1100RS By Powerbrick
Few workshops have mastered the art of transforming BMW’s K-series “Flying Bricks” like Powerbrick in the Netherlands. Their work is a regular fixture on these pages, culminating in their custom Harley-Davidson Pan America being crowned Bike EXIF’s Top Custom of 2024. For those who have admired their edgy, performance-driven builds from afar, this is an unparalleled opportunity to own one.
This is ‘VENGEANCE,’ the exact 1994 BMW K1100RS that earned an honorable mention in Bike EXIF’s Top Customs of 2023. It represents the pinnacle of PowerBrick’s design and engineering philosophy, blending aggressive cafe racer aesthetics with better-than-factory quality. Shop boss Tim Somers aimed for perfection, utilizing computer-guided design and production to create a truly professional-grade machine.
The build began with a complete engine overhaul, featuring ported heads, an enhanced NGK ignition system, and a hydraulic clutch conversion for a punchier, more direct connection to the rear wheel. The inline-four breathes through DNA filters and exhales through a stunning pie-cut stainless steel four-into-one system from MAD Exhausts, finished with a PowerBrick muffler. The entire bike was rewired around a Bluetooth-enabled Motogadget mo.unit, cleaning up the lines and modernizing the electronics completely.
The chassis and bodywork are where ‘VENGEANCE’ truly sets itself apart. The front end was swapped for a set of BMW S1000RR forks, held in PowerBrick’s own custom yokes. The rear is managed by an adjustable shock from TFX Suspension, while the incredible billet aluminum wheels from AC Schnitzer—originally designed for an R nineT—are mounted via custom-machined adaptors. The centerpiece of the build is the mammoth seven-piece subframe, machined from a single billet of aluminum, which seamlessly integrates the rear cowl, taillight, and a custom seat by Silvermachine. Wrapped in an iconic Marlboro-inspired livery by Royal Kustom Works, this is a show-stopping build of the highest caliber, now ready for a new owner.
